Start with the current interface
As checked on October 6, 2026, Momentum AMP’s public application programming interface (API) page identifies Momentum AMP by NowCerts and displays API version 2.2.1.77. Its migration FAQ schedules legacy API retirement for September 30, 2026; that announcement does not verify an actual shutdown or a completed Decla migration.
The provider documents an API with separate production and staging environments and credentials. Its July 29, 2026 migration guide describes changed authentication and insured/policy list structures.
Ask the agency’s system owner to identify the adopted interface, environment, permitted records and approved actions. Confirm current access with the provider through your existing support route; do not put credentials in a task description.
Decla describes itself as an AI operations platform for commercial insurance. That company positioning does not establish the Momentum AMP operations below.

Separate provider contracts from Decla proof
| Task boundary | Provider documentation | Agency acceptance evidence | Decla status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Insured and policy reads | Guide §§8–11: read-only lists; InsuredDetailList and PolicyDetailList replace legacy lists, with child data in companion endpoints. | Correct agency, insured identifier, policy term and all required related records; missing data remains explicit. | Unverified |
| Certificate-holder lookup | Guide §9 references CertificateHolderList alongside CertificatesList and MasterCertificateList. | Holder identity and source version matched to the requested policy; a holder record is not an issued certificate. | Unverified |
| Certificate preview | Guide §12 lists POST /api/SendCertificate/PreviewCertificate and a preview-download route. | Reviewed artifact tied to exact source policy and holder; distinguish preview from authorized issuance and delivery. | Unverified |
| Requested record change | Guide §8 separates read-only lists from separate write endpoints. | Exact adopted write contract, agency grant and reviewer decision, followed by persisted-record readback and an error boundary. | Unverified |

Worked example: a holder correction held at the source
R1 v1, dated October 5, 2026, requests a holder-name correction for fictional Account A-17, Policy P-44, term November 1, 2026–November 1, 2027. D1 v1 is the supplied policy document; H1 v1 is the holder record. The reviewer needs a source-matched proposal before authorizing any change.
| Check | Source / version | Observation | State | Owner / next action |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Insured/account match | R1 v1; lookup extract I1 v1 | Two similarly named insureds appear; only one is associated with A-17. | Identity hold | System owner confirms the authoritative insured identifier; name similarity alone cannot select it. |
| Policy and term | R1 v1; D1 v1 | D1 covers November 1, 2025–November 1, 2026, not the requested term. | Source gap | Account manager obtains the current-term document and reconciles it to P-44. |
| Holder correction | R1 v1; H1 v1 | Requested holder label differs from H1; no reviewed disposition accompanies the request. | Proposed only | Reviewer confirms the intended holder and exact changed fields against the request. |
| Later source receipt | D2 v1, October 6, 2026 | D2 matches P-44 and the requested 2026–2027 term; the reviewer accepts it as the missing source. | Source gap closed only | Reviewer still resolves the identity hold and holder change; receipt does not authorize a write. |
| Uncertain write result | Separate hypothetical test W1, only after identity/holder/grant/review clearance; readback absent. | A write response is incomplete; no persisted holder record or issuance evidence is available. | Result unknown; no issuance claim | System owner checks the target record and attempt evidence before deciding whether to retry. |
Ask for one observable task
Freeze the match and source set
Agency system owner
Record the adopted interface, agency context, insured and policy identifiers, term, holder, source versions and requested fields. Include a duplicate-insured or missing-policy case.
Review the proposed change
Agency reviewer
Compare old and proposed values with the source request. Leave unresolved identity, document and permission questions on hold; approval of the source set alone is not action authority.
Separate action from readback
Demonstration owner
For a permitted demonstration, require the attempted action, response and subsequent target-record readback. If the response is partial or access is denied, preserve that state rather than reporting completion or retrying blindly.
Check the deliverable boundary
Agency reviewer
For a certificate task, inspect the actual reviewed artifact and the separate authorized issuance and delivery evidence. A lookup, preview or holder update answers a narrower question.
Bring the task, not credentials
Bring your Momentum AMP interface/version, desired task, source-document types and review owner to a Decla discussion. Ask which exact operations can be demonstrated now, including a held case and a verified result.
